JOURNEY TO MARS..!!

 HEY EVERYONE..!!

TODAY I CAME UP WITH A FAMILIAR TOPIC FOR YOU ALL...

YOU ALL HAVE HEARD ABOUT MARS..RIGHT?

SO TODAY I M GOING TO START A SHORT JOURNEY TO THIS PLANET...!

Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and the second smallest planet in the solar system.Mars rotates on it axis every 24.6 Earth hrs.Mars's axis of rotation is tilted 25.2degrees relative to the plane of the planet's orbit around the sun, which helps give mars seasons similar to those on Earth.

But for several reasons, seasons on mars are diffrent from those on Earth.

One is, Mars is on average about 50% farther from the sun than Earth is,with an average orbital distance of 142 million miles.

On Mars, a year lasts 687 Earth days, and an individual season can last up to 199 Earth days.๐Ÿ˜จ

The first person to observe Mars with a telescope was GALILIO GALILEI IN 1610.

So now the question comes..tht why this planet is called red planet?

The reason is tht it's red in colour๐Ÿ˜….Now the question aries..tht why it is red in colour?

THIS IS BECOZ OF THE EFFECT OF IRON OXIDE PREVALENT ON ITS SURFACE.

NOW LET ME TELL YOU ONE THING..tht Once upon a tym, wind and water flowed across the planet.

Robotic rovers have found a clear evidence that billions of years ago, lakes and rivers of liquid water coursed across the red planet’s surface. This means that at some point in the distant past, Mars’s atmosphere was sufficiently dense and retained enough heat for water to remain liquid on the red planet’s surface. ๐ŸŽ‰

NOW LET'S MOVE ON TO IT'S SIZE AND MASS...

Mars is 227.9 million away from Sun.It takes sunlight about 12 minutes  to reach mars's surface.

Mars has a radius of 3.389 km  and the diameter is 6.779 km, slightly more than half the size of Earth.Mars's mass is 6.42 X 10 raise to the power 23 kilograms.

Mars has a volume of 163 billion cubic kilometers. The gravity on mars is about 38% of Earth's gravity.Mars has a density of 3.93 grams per cubic cm.

It is estimated that Mars lost its magnetosphere around 4 billion years ago. A possible reason for this is because of numerous asteroid strikes and the solar wind interacting directly with the Martian ionosphere, lowering the atmospheric density by stripping away atoms from the outer layer.

The atmosphere of Mars consists of about 96% carbon dioxide, 1.93% argon and 1.89% nitrogen, along with traces of oxygen and water. It is quite dusty. Recently methane has also been detected in the atmosphere, values of which indicate an active source of gas that should be present be it biological or non-biological.๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ’ซ

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE MISSIONS ON MARS...

Since the 1960s, humans have robotically explored Mars more than any other planet beyond Earth. Currently, eight missions from the U.S., European Union, Russia, and India are actively orbiting Mars. But getting safely to the red planet is no small feat๐Ÿ˜“. Of the 45 Mars missions launched since 1960, 27 have had some component fail to leave Earth, miss orbit around Mars, burn up in the atmosphere, crash on the surface, or die prematurely.๐Ÿ˜ข

In 2020, the European Space Agency plan to launch a rover named for chemist Rosalind Franklin, whose work was crucial to deciphering the structure of DNA.The rover will drill into Martian soil to hunt for signs of past and present life.Sounds great..right?

Perhaps humans will one day join robots on the red planet.๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ

Elon Musk, founder and CEO of SpaceX[American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company] is building a massive vehicle called Starship in part to send humans to Mars.

How will human activity affect the red planet or our searches for life there?

JUST A SIMPLE ANSWER...TIME WILL TELL✌✌

SO NOW IT'S TIME FOR SOME INTRESTING FACTS ABOUT MARS...!

๐Ÿ’ฅ MARS WAS NAMED AFTER THE ROMAN GOD OF WAR.

๐Ÿ’ฅMARS IS HOME TO THE TALLEST MOUNTAIN IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM(to get some more details on this fact..chck out my previous post[https://universebelike.blogspot.com/2020/07/intresting-facts-about-space.html]

๐Ÿ’ฅONLY 18 MISSIONS TO MARS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULL.

๐Ÿ’ฅMARS HAS THE LARGEST DUST STROMS IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM.

๐Ÿ’ฅON MARS THE SUN APPEARS ABOUT HALF THE SIZE AS IT DOES ON EARTH.

HERE IT ENDS...!

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS JOURNEY..!!

DO LET ME KNOW UR VIEWS IN THE COMMENT SECTION!

THANKYOU!!!
